Lutherfest 2018, Sunday, October 28, 2018 – Reformation Servvice at 3 pm with Potluck Dinner At 5 pm.

Dear Members and Friends of Faith:

I’m writing to remind you about the Reformation service and Lutherfest celebrations taking place this Sunday. Please note, especially, that worship begins at 3:00 PM and that there will not be a 10 AM service this Sunday. This is my first experience of Faith’s famous Lutherfest celebrations, so I am very much looking forward to it, and I really hope you can join us! Please note that all undesignated offerings this Sunday are in support of the CLWR Intern Support fund recently set up in honour of Robert Granke’s service heading up CLWR for many years.

The Lutheran churches of the Bay Area have once again been invited to join us for this special occasion. Following the service there will be a potluck dinner downstairs. The good news is that all the plates and cutlery are being rented so that there will no dishes to do, and very simple clean-up. We are asking, however, for a small voluntary donation at the dinner to help us cover the cost of the rented dishes. As this is the first time we’ve tried this, we’ll see how it goes.

I understand that the youth have been volunteered to help set up the tables and chairs before worship. Thanks for that! The church will be open by 2:00 for this kind of set up. We also welcome any acolytes who are able to help with worship.

I hope to see you at this important event in the life of our congregation.
