Confession and Forgiveness:
God of Wisdom,
we confess the foolishness of our ways,
and our failure to follow you in your paths of right relationships –
with you and with others.
We have gone astray; we feel lost.
We have upheld our own interests first, to the detriment of others.
We have failed to be generous with the poor,
and abandoned our efforts to bring about justice.
We feel the strain of our struggle, God.
have mercy on us according to your steadfast love.
Wash us anew
and help us to live more faithfully.
We seek your unfailing Holy Spirit
and ask for your guiding hand on our lives.
You are the immortal, invisible One;
to you be honour and glory forever; amen.
Gathering Hymn: ELW#581: You Are Mine
Prayer of the Day:
Let us pray together the prayer of the day,
God, we come before you this morning to thank you for your spirit’s presence among us. You send your light into the world so that we may open our hearts to your grace. So that we may be ready whenever you appear, however you appear. Grant us this grace today as we worship and praise you together. Amen
Word

Response to Reading: Word of God, Word of life, Thanks be to God.
Psalm: 33 (Read Responsively)
The Lord looks down from heaven;
he sees all humankind.
From where he sits enthroned he watches
all the inhabitants of the earth—
he who fashions the hearts of them all
and observes all their deeds.
A king is not saved by his great army;
a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.
The war horse is a vain hope for victory,
and by its great might it cannot save.
Our soul waits for the Lord;
he is our help and shield.
Our heart is glad in him
because we trust in his holy name.
Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you.

Our Father in Heaven hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom Come, your will be done, On Earth as in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread, forgive us our sins as we forgive, those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
Now and forever,
Amen.

Thanksgiving for the Word:
Holy God, our Maker, our Healer, our Teacher,

Nourish us with the Spirit of your Word,
that we may grow in grace, bearing the fruits of redemption,
