On August 29th we had planned to hold an outdoor service at the Hilgendag home with the anticipation that more people could attend because it was not inside. Unfortunately, it was so very hot that day and there wasn’t a shady place outdoors where people could be comfortable. So, Plan B was put into place and we worshipped in the barn where it was out of the sun and comfortably cooler. The barn has a very high ceiling and was open at both ends. Covid protocols were followed and people sat in their family groups. We had a wonderful service and a goodly number of people attended. Following the service we were invited to enjoy the Hilgendag’s lovely gardens.
