UPDATE:
Please join Bishops Michael Pryse, Eastern Synod and Douglas Crosby D.D. of the Diocese of Hamilton on November 10, 2017, 07:00 pm, for an ecumenical service of common prayer at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King (714 King St W, Hamilton) in commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.
Sister Eileen Shuller and Pastor Daniela Mertz will preach in dialog and the Bay Area choir will sing with the Cathedral choir.
Fellowship and refreshments following the service.
This service was originally planned for mid-January 2017 but had to be cancelled at the last minute. It promises to be an important and memorable event.
Hope to see you there.
A special note for anyone planning to attend the Common Prayer Service at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King on Friday evening Nov 10th.
We have been informed that the Basilica is a fragrance free zone. Please be considerate in this regard so that all who attend might enjoy the event without discomfort.
Friday November 10th – Joint Lutheran-Roman Catholic Commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation Service (originally scheduled for January 2017 but was cancelled)
what time is the service at the cathedral in Hamilton? I know it is the big church visible from the 403 hwy.
Not sure. I haven’t been given any of that info.
The joint service begins at 7:30 at the Basilica (Catholic Cathedral) in Hamilton – it’s just off King Street; turn left on Dundurn after you get off Main St.; turn left onto King St. and stay at the far right (at least that is what I was told).
