July 3, 2022

Gathering

Welcome and Land Acknowledgement:

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Call to Worship:

Come and hear what God has done —

                        God has listened to all our prayer.

When we pass through the torrent of deep troubles,

                     God turns the sea to dry land.

When we are tangled in the web of life,

                     God does not let our feet slip.

When we are tested as silver is tried,

                     God keeps us in the land of the living.

When we go through fire and water,

                     God brings us to a spacious place.

Come and hear what God has done —

                     God surrounds us with steadfast love.

Thanksgiving for Baptism:

Gathering Hymn: Shout to the Lord ELW#821

Prayer of the Day:

God of Harvest, We listen to your son’s words today and he speaks of harvest. Of you, Gardener Supreme. We know that You place us where we must be, you feed us, equip us and, have us look to a different harvest— a fruitfulness of lives

in service to you and others. We pray that your spirit may guide us to discern when to speak, and when to remain silent; when to stay, and when to leave. So that your grace and mercy may be felt in all creation.

Amen

Word

First Reading: Galatians 6:7-16 (Response After Reading)

                                                            Word of God, Word of Life,

                                                            Thanks be to God.

Psalm 66: 1-9 (Read Responsively)

Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth;
    sing the glory of his name;
    give to him glorious praise.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
All the earth worships you;    they sing praises to you,
    sing praises to your name.”

Come and see what God has done:
    he is awesome in his deeds among mortals.
He turned the sea into dry land;    they passed through the river on foot.
    There we rejoiced in him,

    who rules by his might forever,
whose eyes keep watch on the nations—
    let the rebellious not exalt themselves.

Bless our God, O peoples;
    let the sound of his praise be heard,
