Prayer of the Day:

God of Life, many voices call to us each week.  Many paths and possibilities lie before us.  Send us your Spirit, O God, that we may hear your word speaking through the scriptures this day and recognize your guidance more clearly in our activities this coming week.  In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Word

First Reading: Jeremiah 20:7-13

Psalm: 69 (Read Responsively)

Save me, O God,
for the waters have come up to my neck.

I have come into the deep waters;
the floods engulf me.

I am worn out calling for help;
my throat is parched.My eyes fail,
looking for my God.Those who hate me without reason
outnumber the hairs of my head.
You, God, know my folly;
my guilt is not hidden from you.

But I pray to you, o God,
in the time of your favor;in your great love, o God,
answer me with your sure salvation.God hears the needy
and does not despise his captive people.

Let heaven and earth praise him,
the seas and all that move in them. Amen.

Eucharistic Prayer

Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
