22. SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

November 13, 2022

Welcome and Land Acknowledgement:

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Kyrie: Pg. 184 ELW

Thanksgiving for Baptism:

Joined to Christ in the waters of Baptism, we are clothed with God’s mercy and forgiveness. Let us Give Thanks for the gift of baptism.

We give you thanks O God, for in the beginning, you created us and placed us in a well-watered garden. In the desert, you promised pools of water for the parched, and you gave us water from the rock. When we did not know the way, you sent the Good Shepherd to lead us to still waters. On this day, you shower us again with the water of life.

Gathering Hymn: Gather Us In ELW 532

Prayer of the Day:

Let us pray together the prayer of the day.

O God, our redeemer, by the presence of your Spirit, you renew and direct our hearts. Keep always in our mind our community of believers in all corners of the world. Inspire in us a compassion for those with access to less than we have and keep our eyes and our hearts directed toward you. Amen.

Psalm: 17 (Read Responsively)

Hear a just cause, O Lord; attend to my cry;
    give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit.

If you try my heart, if you visit me by night,
   if you test me, you will find no wickedness in me;
    my mouth does not transgress.

My steps have held fast to your paths;
    my feet have not slipped.

 I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God;
    incline your ear to me; hear my words.
Wondrously show your steadfast love,
    O savior of those who seek refuge
    from their adversaries at your right hand.

Guard me as the apple of the eye;
    hide me in the shadow of your wings,

Gospel Acclamation:  This is the Air I Breathe.

This is the air I breathe, this is the air I breathe,

This is the air I breathe, this is the air I breathe.
