17. SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST – October 23, 2022
Welcome and Land Acknowledgement:
Kyrie: Pg. 184 ELW
Thanksgiving for Baptism:
Joined to Christ in the waters of Baptism, we are clothed with God’s mercy and forgiveness. Let us Give Thanks for the gift of baptism.
We give you thanks O God, for in the beginning, you created us and placed us in a well-watered garden. In the desert, you promised pools of water for the parched, and you gave us water from the rock. When we did not know the way, you sent the Good Shepherd to lead us to still waters. On this day, you shower us again with the water of life.
Gathering Hymn: ELW 524 What is This Place.
Prayer of the Day:
Let us pray together the prayer of the day.
Holy God, daily your mercy surprises us with everlasting forgiveness. Strengthen our hope in you, and grant that all peoples on earth way find peace and grace through your presence. Amen.

Psalm: 84:1-4 (Read Responsively)
1 How lovely is your dwelling place,
O Lord of hosts!
2 My soul longs, indeed it faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh sing for joy
to the living God.
3 Even the sparrow finds a home
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may lay her young,
at your altars, O Lord of hosts,
my King and my God.
4 Happy are those who live in your house,
ever singing your praise.
Gospel Acclamation: This is the Air I Breathe.
This is the air I breathe, this is the air I breathe,
your holy presence living in me.
This is my daily bread, this is my daily bread,
your holy word spoken to me.
And I, I’m desperate for you. And I, I’m lost without you.
This is the air I breathe, this is the air I breathe.
