Welcome and Land Acknowledgement:

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Call to Worship: Come, Now is the Time to Worship (See Insert)

Confession and Forgiveness:

God of Mercy and Forgiveness,

We confess that our selfish ways still have a hold upon us.

We have harmed your good creation.

We have failed to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with you.

Turn us in a new direction.

Show us the path that leads to life. Be our refuge and strength on the journey,

Through Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and friend

Amen.

Gathering Hymn: ELW#818 Oh Master Let Me Walk with You.

Prayer of the Day:

Let us pray together the prayer of the day.

Direct us, O God, in all our doings with your continual help, that in all our works, begun, continued, and ended in you, we may glorify your holy name; and finally, by your mercy, bring us to everlasting life, through Jesus Christ, our saviour.

Amen.

Psalm: 139 (Read Responsively)

O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
    you discern my thoughts from far away.
You search out my path and my lying down
    and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
    O Lord, you know it completely.
You hem me in, behind and before,
    and lay your hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
    it is so high that I cannot attain it.

Gospel Acclamation: ELW#801 Change my Heart, O God.

Gospel: Luke 14:25-33

Response: Glory to you, O Lord.

Your kingdom Come, your will be done, On Earth as in Heaven.

Give us today our daily bread, forgive us our sins as we forgive, those who sin against us.

Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.
