December 2, 2018, we mark the first Sunday of Advent with a hymn from the Chiesa Evangelica Luterana in Italia (Evangelical Lutheran Church in Italy).

“Stille Nacht – Silent Night” in Italian, German and English has been performed by the Christian Protestant Church in Milan, a congregation of CELI.

The Milan church has numerous spiritual, social and cultural activities, and its concerts have a special reputation. Firstly, the “Tamburini organ” is considered as one of the best instruments in Northern Italy. Secondly, the concerts or the Mailänder Kantorei choir that mainly performs the works of J.S. Bach, are very appreciated.

During this Advent season, LWF member churches are sharing hymns from their congregations to show how the Lutheran communion regions prepare for Christ’s coming into this world.
